Improve wired and wireless connectivity with state-of-the-art equipment.

Challenge

The Honorable Congress of the State of Nayarit, is a precinct that houses the legislative power of the state of Nayarit, Mexico. Conformed by local deputies who legislate to create legal, abstract, general and impersonal norms, as well as to make the modifications that are required in the current normative system of the State of Nayarit.

In order to be able to carry out all these activities, it is necessary to have a secure, fast and stable network connectivity that offers mobility in all offices and spaces both to members of parliament, staff and external users who perform tasks that constitute a fundamental support for digitization, both in the administrative and parliamentary spheres.

The main challenge is to respond to the needs of this site by means of a new network that facilitates management and connectivity, thus improving the user experience.

The main objectives are related to the following factors: the increasing demand for bandwidth, the large number of smartphones, tablets, computers and others, the need for uninterrupted connectivity as users move throughout the building, and the high concentration of users in critical areas.

Solution

The project began with a previous study of network infrastructure and wireless coverage, in order to determine which points could be improved. Based on this study it was determined that it was necessary to renew all the switching equipment (switches) of all the SITE to cover the large capacity of data flowing through the wired data network and in turn provide the necessary power for the number of access points strategically distributed with the previous study. The deployed equipment is 100% cloud-managed and offers high performance, enterprise-grade security and simple management; outstanding for the most demanding uses, including high-density, high-bandwidth deployments or resource-intensive applications such as voice and high-definition.

In conclusion, it can be affirmed that this implementation has solved with absolute solvency the needs raised. Once implemented, with an unprecedented occupancy and in the framework of a large number of events, deputies, officials, media and users in general were able to communicate quickly and securely from the different areas of the Congress. This allows us to deduce that the result of the project is satisfactory.
